TOURIST TAX

The tourist tax is a local tax, levied on those who stay

(or who stays overnight) in an accommodation facility located in a municipality,

different from their  their municipality of residence, in which this tax was established.

In Bagheria, the tourist tax was established, by resolution No. 342 of 28 November 2024, as of 01 January 2025 and defines the new rates that will be applied to all tourists and visitors staying in accommodation facilities in the municipal territory.

This is a tax already present in many other cities of art and tourist resorts and, as provided for by law, its purpose is to finance specific interventions to promote tourism, enhance the artistic, cultural and environmental heritage and improve the services offered to visitors.

As of 1 January 2025, hotel and paralberghiere accommodation facilities

will charge a fee of €2.20 per person per night,

while for non-hotel establishments the rate will be € 2.00.

The tourist tax will be applied exclusively to tourists staying in accommodation facilities in the municipal territory (hotels, B&Bs, tourist flats, etc). Bagheria residents and other categories will be exempt from payment.
