“Young people celebrating: Colors and rhythms of India” at the Don Milani Centre
Saturday 26 October 2024
On Saturday 26 October, the Don Milani youth meeting center in Aspra is transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds, hosting the event “Young people celebrating: Colors and rhythms of India”. Organized by the Arcoiris association, in collaboration with CESVOP and with the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria, this afternoon will be a unique opportunity to discover the rich Indian culture, have fun and participate in numerous activities.
Starting from 5.30 pm, the Don Milani center will open its doors to everyone, offering a rich program of initiatives:
From chess games to creative workshops, passing through a corner dedicated to temporary tattoos, there will be something for all tastes. There will be spaces dedicated to ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), DSA (Specific Learning Disorders), and TMA (Multisystemic Therapy in Water) which will allow you to delve into important topics and learn about the services offered by the area.
A photographic exhibition with related performance will also be organised: Valentina Sanfilippo‘s exhibition and the Indian dance performance will enrich the event with notes of art and culture.
Decorations, music and activities inspired by India will create an engaging and festive atmosphere.
There will also be a free buffet dinner and a screening of the film “Life of Pi”.
The evening will end with the music of DJ Gaetano Sampino, inviting everyone to dance and have fun.
As the councilor for Social Policies, Emanuele Tornatore, underlines: “The Don Milani Center represents a fundamental point of reference for our community. Thanks to initiatives like this, we offer young people a space for aggregation and growth, while promoting intercultural dialogue and solidarity. I am particularly proud to see how local associations actively collaborate to create such engaging and participatory events.”
“Giovani in festa” is an initiative included in the broader project “Ricomincio Con Te To Be Community”, which sees the Arcoiris association at the forefront in promoting social inclusion and the well-being of young people.
