The literary review that also enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria ‘Tramonti di parole’ (Sunsets of words) in the evocative setting of the terrace on the sea at the Domina-Zagarella in Santa Flavia reaches its fourth appointment.
Tomorrow, journalist and writer Salvo Toscano will present the novel ‘L’ultimo presagio’, published by Newton Compton Editori, the Corsaro brothers’ new investigation.
With him will dialogue the journalist Miriam Di Peri, member of the Sicilian Parliamentary Press Board. Admission is free.
The synopsis of the book reads: A strange question harbours an omen of death. Two women, two ‘invisibles’, mysteriously killed. Roberto and Fabrizio Corsaro once again in search of the truth. Palermo, it is a late December afternoon. The lawyer Roberto Corsaro is about to leave his office when someone bells insistently at the door. It is an elderly woman who, visibly agitated, asks the lawyer a bizarre question: “If my son killed me, could he inherit my money?”. His curiosity satisfied, the woman leaves and Roberto sees her enter a building on the same street. A few days later the door of that building is opened as a sign of mourning. Roberto thus discovers that the woman has died suddenly. And that her only son has been dead for more than twenty years. A month before these events, Fabrizio Corsaro, a journalist and Roberto’s brother, dealt with the brutal murder of a Polish immigrant. Digging into the lives of the two women, the Corsaro brothers will come across another ‘invisible’ death. And in secrets buried by a blanket of silence.
