The seaside hamlet of Aspra is enriched with a new work of art:
“Il Violino Sul Mare” sculpture by master luthier Beppe Piacentino is inaugurated

On Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., the Aspra waterfront will be illuminated in a new light with the unveiling of the wooden sculpture “Il Violino Sul Mare” a work by master luthier Beppe Piacentino, donated to the City of Bagheria.
A work that celebrates art, music and the deep connection between Bagheria and its seaside village. The sculpture, a large violin made of wood, will be placed in a strategic spot on the waterfront, becoming a new symbol of Aspra and an attraction for citizens and tourists alike.
The unveiling ceremony will be attended by Bagheria Mayor Filippo Maria Tripoli, City Council President and councilor with responsibility for the Borgo Marinaro of Aspra Andrea Sciortino, and Councilor Antonella Insinga.
This will be followed by an evocative musical performance by Maestro, violinist Mario Renzi, who will perform pieces using Maestro Piacentino’s violin, the only one in the world named “bagherese,” a tribute to the city of villas.
