Bagheria is preparing to experience a Carnival 2025 under the banner of cinema and fun. Tomorrow, Saturday 1 March, starting at 16:00, Corso Umberto I will be transformed into an open-air film set for the opening event ‘Il Carnevale in Centro’.
A parade of cinema-themed masks, floats and mascots will invade the main street of the centre, accompanied by an enthralling soundtrack that will make young and old alike dance and sing. Making the event even more special is the circus and theatre show ‘Tutto quello che so fare’ by Mr. Occhialino, a mix of skill, comedy and emotion.

‘Carnival is a time of celebration and sharing for the whole community,’ says Education Councillor Antonella Insinga. ‘This year, thanks to the teamwork between different departments and realities of the territory, we have created a programme full of events that we hope will involve and entertain citizens of all ages. The theme of cinema, then, will make the Bagheria Carnival even more magical and spectacular’.
‘Carnival is a celebration that unites the whole community,’ says councillor Biagio Sciortino. ‘Events like these, which also involve schools, are important because they promote sharing and a sense of belonging.’

Carnival 2025 ‘Colours of Cinema’ is organised by the Municipality of Bagheria with the coordination of the Education Department, led by Antonella Insinga, and the collaboration of the Entertainment Department led by Biagio Sciortino and the Social Policies Department led by Emanuele Tornatore, the Pro Loco of Aspra and the Metropolitan City of Palermo.
