The presentation of the new volume written by Salvatore Gumina ‘Sotir’ entitled ‘Polvere di Sicilia-Lettere da un viaggio’ (Dust of Sicily-Letters from a journey) will be held at Villa Butera at ‘Sala Martorana- Fumagalli’ on Saturday 15 March 2025, starting at 17:00. The event will be attended by: the Mayor of Bagheria Filippo Maria Tripoli, the councillor for Education and Sport Antonella Insinga, Piero Campa president of the Order of Architects of Caltanissetta, Salvatore Scaglia Canonist and lawyer of the Palermo Bar, Paolo Biaglio Mortellaro lecturer and lawyer of the Marsala Bar, Nino Argentati president of ‘Pitturiamo’ portal of contemporary painters.

Salvatore Gumina in art ‘Sotir’ will present his new monograph in the past the same artist has already written the following monographs:
– (Year 2016) Portali Nisseni dal XIX al XX secolo;
– (Year 2017) Corner Heads Urban Sceneries and Curiosities – ‘in the capital of the mountains’- Nisseni Cantonals from the 16th to the 20th century;
– (Year 2019) Nisseni artefacts inside and outside the ‘walls’… wandering between countryside and city;
– (Year 2020) The crazy little Sicilian zibaldone.

The new volume that will be presented with a preface and afterword written by Marcella Sardo, deals with a journey made in Sicily by a Sicilian who offers a new vision unlike the journeys made in the past by the “conquistadores” of Northern Europe, a journey understood as the path of life, Salvatore on this journey at each stage writes letters “missives” to his friend Sotir, an imaginary friend? ghost or reality? Or the same individual who splits in two? This is one of the enigmas present in the volume. Furthermore, the missives will be in number 23, a numerical value present in nature and in life cycles, with cabalistic combinations. On this occasion Sotir will exhibit some paintings from his new production focused on the reflection of the dangers that loom over all humanity, such as the advent of uncontrolled artificial intelligence, the health dictatorship, the absence of God in today’s life, the indoctrination of children on uniform and homologated thoughts to the globalist agenda. One of the works that will be present in Bagheria will be “DICTATORSHIP OF DIGITAL CYBERNETICS – HUMANOIDS TRANSFORMED ON MARS” a work that summarizes the violent advent of digitalization in a new being that remains very little human, passing from trans-humanism to a post-humanity, the work shows men captured and transformed with digital insertions, to be transferred to Mars in order to create a new life and a new being the POST-HUMAN with little human, the absence of God and a lot of digital, exaltation of the delirium of “modernity”…………………
