On Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., the Fumagalli Martorana room of Villa Butera will host the presentation of the book “I Only Wanted a Spritz” by Claudia Profera. A touching and sincere work that recounts the journey of a woman, Claudia precisely, grappling with a diagnosis that turns her life upside down.
A successful lawyer, bound to her Palermo and her family, Claudia sees her existence turned upside down by the discovery of breast cancer. The pages of the book take us on an intimate and profound journey through the joys and sufferings of a woman who faces the disease with courage and irony. A story about love, friendship, fear and hope, it invites us to reflect on the value of life and the importance of seizing every moment.
The presentation will be attended by the mayor of Bagheria, Filippo Maria Tripoli, for institutional greetings, and the councillor for Social Policies, Emanuele Tornatore, who will introduce the event. An intense dialogue will take place between the councillor for Education and Sports, Antonella Insinga, and the author, with the participation of the lawyer Loredana Russo; the councillor for Culture Daniele Vella will also be present. To make the meeting even more exciting, the reading of excerpts from the book bySimona Aiello and musical notes by Francesco Maria Martorana on guitar and singer Alba Cavallaro.
