The municipal administration of Bagheria, with the aim of continuing the constructive confrontation with operators in the tourism sector, has called for a meeting open to all owners, managers and referents of accommodation facilities (hotel, non-hotel and short-let) in the municipal area.
The meeting, scheduled for 16 January at 12 noon in the Fumagalli Martorana room at Villa Butera, is an opportunity to listen to the operators’ requests and discuss the perplexities surrounding the introduction of the tourist tax, which came into force during the course of the year.

“We believe it is fundamental to actively involve the sector’s operators in this phase of the start-up of the tourist tax,’ says the councillor for Tourism, Francesco Gurrado. ’We want to implement an open and constructive round table where we can listen to their opinions and perplexities while respecting the needs of all the actors involved.”

During the meeting, the procedures for calculating and paying the tax will be explained and guidance provided on the tutorial that the company will make available.
The meeting will be attended not only by the mayor of Bagheria, Filippo Maria Tripoli, tourism councillor Francesco Gurrado and budget councillor Daniele Vella, but also by the E.Q. manager of municipal taxes Giuseppe Maniscalco.
More information will be given on how the proceeds of the tax, which will be earmarked for measures to promote tourism and enhance the territory, will be used.
All owners, managers and referents of accommodation facilities are invited to attend this appointment, which will not be the only one.
