On Sunday 9 March 2025, the Bagheria municipal administration will pay homage to Gianni Marino, a fellow citizen who distinguished himself for his participation in the well-known television programme MasterChef Italia, the Sky Original coooking show produced by Endemol Shine Italy, on Sky and NOW.
The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the external atrium of Villa Butera, Torre side.
During the ceremony, the Mayor of Bagheria, Filippo Maria Tripoli, will present a certificate of recognition to Gianni Marino for the talent, passion and sympathy demonstrated during the programme, where he had the opportunity to cook for renowned chefs Bruno Barbieri, Antonino Cannavacciuolo and Giorgio Locatelli.
The morning’s programme, conducted by journalist Marina Mancini, foresees, after the institutional greetings of the mayor Filippo Maria Tripoli and the councillors Biagio Sciortino (Entertainment), Antonella Insinga (Education) and Francesco Gurrado (Tourism), the presentation of Gianni Marino and a brief history of his participation narrated by the protagonist himself, who will present the dish that was most successful among the judges of MasterChef Italia.
The event will also be attended by Gianni Marino’s sister, Martina, and the director of the business where Gianni works, Giuseppe D’Amico, who supported him in this adventure.
The event will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Municipality of Bagheria.
