From Sept. 08 to 15, the seaside village of Aspra will come alive for the celebrations in honor of Mary Most Holy Our Lady of Sorrows, patron saint of the seaside village.
Organized by the Confraternity and sponsored by the City of Bagheria, the events will involve citizens and visitors in an atmosphere of faith and joy.

The program, which is rich and varied, ranges from religious events to musical, recreational, cabaret and sports events and includes: solemn masses and moments of prayer that will involve the faithful in an intense spiritual journey that will culminate in the traditional and evocative sea procession of the simulacrum of the Madonna in addition to the procession through the streets of the hamlet, a moment of great emotion for the entire community. There will be several moments of entertainment, including drummers, majorettes… the Mascagni band will make its notes resound through the streets of the hamlet, and summer games will entertain the youngest; local as well as national artists will perform, such as Mattia Bazar‘s concert on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Piano Stenditore. Between a cabaret show and a musical one, the traditional game of “Antinna a mare” and the boat race will also not be missed, which will enliven the village.
