8 March: Bagheria becomes “City of Women”.
Event at Villa Cutò between civil commitment, fashion, music and art.

Bagheria celebrates women and remembers their sacrifices, civic commitment and battles but it also does so by celebrating them in their beauty and artistic abilities. The municipal administration of Bagheria, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, organized the “Bagheria City of Women” event, an initiative born with the collaboration of the head of the “Fashion Luxury Event” Rosanna Fiorentino and the States General of Women represented by responsible for Sicily Maria Concetta Cefalù.
During the event, which will be held on Friday 8 March, at Villa Cutò, starting from 4.30 pm, Bagheria’s membership of the States General of the City of Women will be presented and the exhibition by Dànila Leotta will be inaugurated, strongly supported by doctor Dora Favatella Lo Cascio and promoted by the Councilor for Communication Giuseppina Chiello. The event will be embellished with moments of “Glamour and music” and the musical performances of the violinist Jane Far, born Giovanna Ferrara, who will perform some songs including the anthem of the States General of the City of Women, with her precious violin.
The event, presented by the journalist Marina Mancini, will be attended by the mayor of Bagheria, Filippo Maria Tripoli, the councilor for Communications Giusy Chiello, the councilor for Public Education Provvidenza Tripoli, the councilor Antonella Insinga, the head of international relations and with the EU of the States General of the City of Women in Sicily Maria Concetta Cefalù and the municipal consultant for the protection of the cultural and monumental heritage of the City, Dora Favatella Lo Cascio.
The States General of Women, born in 2014, is a permanent coordination, a Forum that has become an authoritative interlocutor for the institutions operating in the fields of labour, economics, finance, women’s, rights, culture, school, training, peace and dialogue, good living, development.
