On Sunday 30 March 2025, the city of Bagheria will be the scene of a major dog-loving event: the 50th national German shepherd meeting.
The event, organised by the S.A.S. (Società Amatori Schäferhunde) Conca d’Oro section, and sponsored by the Municipality of Bagheria, will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the association’s foundation (1975-2025).
The event will take place at the Ramacca sports centre, and will see the participation of numerous German shepherd dogs from all over Italy.
The dogs will be judged by expert judges: Jens Becker Olsen for the “junior male”, “very young male”, “young male”, “working male” and “long-haired subjects” categories.
Fausto Gazzetta, who will judge the categories ‘junior females’, ‘puppy females’, ‘working females’, ‘free females’ and ‘long-haired subjects’.Franco Macaluso, on the other hand, will judge the categories ‘male puppies’, ‘very young females’, ‘young females’, ‘free males’ and ‘long-haired subjects’.
In addition, a Special Show dedicated to the “baby” classes will be held. 
The event enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria and sees the participation of Winner Plus as official sponsor S.A.S. and Super Premium Pet Food.
The national German shepherd meeting represents an important occasion for fans of this dog breed, who will be able to admire high-quality specimens up close and participate in a celebratory event of great significance,” said the councillor for Animal Rights and Animal Husbandry, Giuseppe Tripoli.
The event will start at 8.30 am. It is still possible to register dogs on the SAS website.
