Bagheria mobilises against gender-based violence with a rich calendar of initiatives that will take place from 05 to 30 November 2024.
The municipal administration, on the occasion of the month dedicated to the fight against violence against women, in collaboration with the Nuova Generazione social cooperative, the Casa Dei Giovani association and the CPIA Palermo 2, has organised a series of cultural, artistic and informative events, all focusing on the theme of violence against women.
‘Beauty heals the soul’ is the title chosen for the series of events that are intended to be an invitation to fight violence against women 365 days a year and not only on 25 November, the International Day against Violence against Women.
An opportunity to reflect on the profound impact that violence has on the psyche of its victims and the need to promote a culture of respect and equality.
The initiative, which enjoys the patronage of the municipality of Bagheria, is promoted by the Department of Social Policies led by Emanuele Tornatore, the Department of Education led by Antonella Insinga, and the Department of Pathological Addictions led by Biagio Sciortino.

11 November 2024 – Palazzo Butera: 9:30 a.m. Presentation of the ‘Women’s Network’ service charter
20 November 2024 – Butera Theatre: 10:00 am Beauty cures the soul. Workshop for Secondary School students organised by the ‘Donne Nuove’ Anti-Violence Centre
21 November 2024 – Butera Theatre: 6.30 p.m. Let’s go beyond! Prevention of gender-based violence. Participation of students from the CPIA of Bagheria
25 November 2024 – Palazzo Butera: 10:00 a.m. A red bench for the Consula of Women. 11:30 a.m. Project ‘Maddalena’: stories of life.
28 November 2024 – Palazzo Butera: 9:00 a.m. Animus and Anima: restless relationships. Open session of Jungian analytical psychodrama by Dr. Leonardo Seidita, psychotherapist
30 November 2024 – Corso Umberto: 18:00 Noise of Checkers. Artistic performance by the and International Paladanze.

The municipal administration invites all citizens to participate in the scheduled events, an important opportunity to reflect on such a delicate issue and to contribute to building an increasingly attentive and supportive community.
