Aspra lights up for San Lorenzo: first literary party “Night of the Stars”, space for our four-legged friends, with focus on Leishmaniasis and presentation of the book by veterinarian Gino Gagliano. The night of San Lorenzo, in Aspra, is tinged with culture, solidarity and scientific study. Sponsored by the Municipality of Bagheria, the event also enjoys the recognition of the Order of Veterinary Doctors of Palermo and the Zooprophylactic Institute of Sicily.
Starting from 6.00 pm, the new square where the fish market will be located in the seaside village of Aspra, will come alive for the first literary party “Night of the Stars”.
A unique event that combines the passion for reading with the love for our four-legged friends.
The evening will start with a nice appointment dedicated to dogs: presentation of our four-legged friends and useful advice for their care. An opportunity to socialize and share the joy of living with a faithful companion.
At 9.00 pm, the focus will shift to the presentation of the book by veterinary doctor Gino Gagliano “Io e quel cane di un mio amico”. A work that promises not only to inform but to excite and make people reflect, telling of a special bond between man and animal.
The event will be attended by the mayor of Bagheria Filippo Maria Tripoli, the president of the City Council Andrea Sciortino, the councilors Antonella Insinga, Giuseppe Tripoli, Daniele Vella and Francesco Gurrado and the city councilor Giusy Chiello.
The journalist Marina Mancini will moderate the meeting, with professor Mariano Lanza also speaking, who has created a historical booklet which will be donated to those who buy the book.
Veterinary experts will be present, including Dr. Fabrizio Vitale, representative of the Zooprophylactic Institute, one of the leading experts on Leishmania at a national and international level. As director of the Leishmania national reference center and a leading figure in the World Organization for Animal Health, he will bring his contribution to the discussion.
At the end of the presentation of the book, everyone with their noses turned upwards gazing at the shooting stars with the performances of the fire-breather and a dancer.
And the following day, same place and same sky, space for music with Ignazio Gagliano who will cheer up the audience with his music, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere.
