“The Crime of the Crocicchia. Against the backdrop of the Fascist Twenty Years, the discovery of a body on the Crocicchia beach stirs the seemingly calm waters of the seaside village of Aspra. Oronzo Scordato, a police inspector, and Enrico Barruero, a gymnastics professor with a passion for investigation, begin a double investigation and vie to uncover the truth. What initially appeared to be an ordinary news story will turn out, after other mysterious murders, to be a real international intrigue. Why do fascist politics violently meddle with the investigation? What does a small village on the Palermo coast have to do with a biblical prophecy promising the Jews the Promised Land? Amid the activities of an esoteric Zionist sect, unsuspected red herrings and a secret code hidden among the notes of a musical score, a shocking truth will emerge that aims to change the course of history forever. Which of the two investigators will have the privilege of lifting the veil of mystery?
